The Fortunate OnesSynopsis

ON SALE THURSDAY, MAY 17 , 2018 at 12:00 pm

Fortunate Ones is Newfoundland’s JUNO-nominated duo, Catherine Allan
and Andrew James O’Brien. Known for dynamic live performances, effortless union of voices in harmony, and anthemic melodies – they embody a wide-eyed energy, deliver messages of reflection and optimism, have an earnest mission for connection, and are endearing audiences across Canada and beyond.

Their songs celebrate coming of age, ambition, decisions we make to persevere, and the resilience of the human spirit. Their new album Hold Fast produced by Daniel Ledwell releases on May 25, 2018.

Fortunate Ones were supported by a remarkable array of collaborators on Hold Fast, including songwriters  Alan Doyle  (Great Big Sea),  Tim Baker  (Hey Rosetta!), and  Meg Warren  (Repartee). Musically, the cast here includes  Jim Bryson, Good Lovelies, Alexa Dirks  (Begonia),  Kinley Dowling  (Hey Rosetta!), and the multi-talented Ledwell who produced the album at his studio in Lake Echo, Nova Scotia.  This collective effort has yielded songs from a band whose humility and quiet dignity belies a roaring artistic heart, which has been captured beautifully on the yearning Hold Fast.

Fortunate Ones' new
album Hold Fast comes out  on May 25, 2018. For more info visit  fortunateones.ca.
