Synopsis“Kelly Russell’s Who Knit Ya?” tells the story of Kelly’s journey from rebellious teen to Order of Canada recipient. Starting with piano lessons with his Mom and his dreams of becoming a rock star, the play revisits the early days of Kelly’s career: the formation of iconic bands Figgy Duff and The Wonderful Grand Band, his friendships with legendary fiddlers Rufus Guinchard and Emile Benoit, the creation of his own record label, and his travels worldwide. Throughout the show, Kelly plays piano, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki, concertina, dulcimer and, of course, fiddle, and shares two of his father’s most beloved “Tales from Pigeon Inlet.” A School Zone Production |
